About the Program 

Abt PNG Management Services is a shared services platform supporting seven programs based in PNG. 

The seven programs include:

  • Australia PNG Economic Partnership (APEP)

  • Australia PNG Subnational Program (APSP)

  • PNG-Australia Transition to Health (PATH)

  • PNG Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE)

  • PNG Women’s Lead (PNGWL)

  • Papua New Guinea Institutional Partnerships Program (PIPP)

  • PNG Secondary Education Program (PSEP)

The Abt PNG Management Services departments support the delivery of the above mentioned Abt Programs through corporate services functions across seven teams including Finance and Travel, People and Culture, Procurement, Grants Management, Legal and Contracts, ICT, Facilities and Logistics and Safety and Security. 

 

About the Opportunity

The Security and Fleet Analyst will facilitate regular data analysis and reporting processes, ensuring comprehensive oversight of fleet operations, service provider performance, and control room activities in alignment with Abt PNG’s risk, compliance, and value-for-money objectives.

 

Key responsibilities 

The Security and Fleet Analyst will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Maintain and update the Fleet Maintenance software program, ensuring accurate data input.

  • Collect and update key performance indicator (KPI) data from Managers for ongoing SSFS monitoring.

  • Assist the Control Room by maintaining and analysing data in the fleet tracking system.

  • Manage and update staff contact lists and fleet call sign lists.

  • Conduct regular data analysis of fleet operations, including:

  • Assessing trends in vehicle service, maintenance, and repair costs.

  • Monitoring depreciation of fleet vehicles, including vehicle age and distance travelled.

  • Identifying unusual fuel consumption patterns and significant changes in road conditions.

  • Analyse service provider performance by reviewing:

  • Value-for-money of parts and labour costs.

  • Appropriateness and necessity of repairs and parts replacements.

  • Compliance with required maintenance and transparency in parts replacement.

  • Review and summarise control room data, including:

  • Types and frequencies of vehicle pick-up/drop-off (PUDO), airport transfers, and other tasks.

  • Analysis of no-shows, booking errors, and utilisation patterns.

  • Identification and flagging of unusual incidents or non-compliance issues.

  • Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data-driven analysis.

  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the Safety, Security and Fleet Manager.

 

Key deliverables

  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly analytical reports on fleet operations, control room activities, service providers and fleet/security incidents and control room performance.

  • Recommendations for operational improvements and compliance.

  • Red flag/incident reports.

  • Updated documentation/logs.

 

Key working relationships 

  • Abt Safety, Security & Fleet Team

  • Control Room staff

  • All Abt personnel in-country Agencies/Hotel etc.

  • Service providers as required

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Qualifications

  • Relevant TVET or Tertiary qualification in administration, IT, logistics or other.

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated understanding of data administration and excellent knowledge in data software and systems.

  • Computer literate

Skills/Experience

  • 3 years relevant experience in similar work environments.

  • Excellent administrative and operational skills and experience, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office and data management tools;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-cultural team.

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;

  • High level of attention to detail;

  • Punctual, responsible and reliable.
